Reinstal.lació de Packard Bell iMedia 2300.

M'han portat una xatarra vella per arreglar, un Packard Bell Imedia 2300.
La Web de Packard Bell no ajuda gens amb aquestes catxarres velles, doncs fa servir una nomenclatura molt rara per a identificar els equips, i de fet, el que m'han portat no hi sortia: un UTOW-QUA.

Com que m'ha costat un culló de trobar els drivers, publico entrada per si serveix de referència a algú altre:

Packard Bell iMedia 2300 rebuild.

I have a Packard Bell Imedia 2300 to repair.
Packard Bell web support does not help much with their confusing identifications strings (UTOW-QUA). I can't find this model in the menú.

I managed to install it using the VIA web support at: http://www.via.com.tw/en/support/drivers.jsp
This board is a MSI MS-6786 with KM800A chipset and a AMD Sempron 3000+ processor.

Reparació estació Polycom VSX7000e / Polycom VSX7000e repair.

Una entitat de Girona on es va muntar una magnífica sala de videoconferències ha tingut un problema amb el Polycom VSX7000e. No s'engega.
Només d'obrir la tapa es veu on és el problema: la font PHIHONG PSA075-XXX de 12V 75W integrada està plena de condensadors que s'han inflat i han fet "capuccino". Un mosfet sembla creuat també.

S'ha comprat una font usada de repost i se li ha fet un "refurbished" de condensadors:

35V 150UF
50V 4.7UF


I've been required to inspect a Polycom VSX7000e videoconferencing station that does not start.
Power supply PHIHONG PSA075-XXX 12V 75W is plagued with G-Luxon caps bulging and making capuccino. A mosfet is short.
Purchased a used PSU, and refurbished the caps:
