Reparació del PCMCIA de les impressores Markem-IMAJE5000. PCMCIA repair.

De vegades hi ha aparells que ja no tenen recanvi i cal fer durar la màquina un temps més.

En aquest cas son unes impressores de bosses Markem-Imaje5000 que han tingut un problema amb les PCMCIA: alguns dels pins s'han trencat i la impressora es queda sense PCMCIA, de manera que no pot llegir els models gràfics per a imprimir.

These are plastic bag-printers from Markem-Imaje model 5000. They have a PCMCIA connector used as a memory to store the raster graphic models to print. Some of the pins in the PCMCIA connector are broken, so, no models no print.

Una de les targetes de memòria amb un pin enganxat. Les memòries per les IMAJE5000 son crítiques. Només funcionen les Pretec. Ni les Sandisk ni les Western Digital funcionen. Aquestes funcionen: Pretec 128mb cfg128 & Pretec cfh128cp

Aquest és el connector PCMCIA. és un JST ICME68H-R0-D1120NHA. Com que no trobava recanvi he posat un equivalent que m'ha venut Mouser de la casa Hirose: (HRS) IC7-68-PD-1.27 DS -EJR. Coincideix l'ejector, les mides, el botó, etc.

This is the damaged PCMCIA connector. It's a JST JST ICME68H-R0-D1120NHA. I could not find a spare connector so I had to find an equivalent from a retailer (Mouser) Hirose Brand. (HRS) IC7-68-PD-1.27 DS -EJR. Same pin pattern and ejector. Fits perfect.

La peça entra perfectament.
Ara cal tornar a posar flux i soldar tinguent en compte que és bó que l'estany ompli el thru-hole.

Apply flux again and solder. The tin/lead solder must fill the thru-hole to prevent mechanic weaknesses.

Després d'una revisió a fons, un dels pins demostra haver quedat afectat i el reforçem amb wirewrap.

After a thorough test, one of the pins is found damaged. Some wire wrap job will solve the issue.








Markem Imaje España was very responsive through they did not offer any replacement part but a replacement board or an offer to renew the printers offering a very competitive price. They offer the Pretec cards that work with these printers.
